IF the number shown in one of your photographs (200281)is the serial number, the piano would appear to date from 1918. Its history is interesting but not easy to follow with so many changes of names and partners over many years. 'Francis Bacon' is a piano name I have never heard of until now, so I looked it up in my copy of Pierce Piano Atlas (12th Edition) where there is a wealth of information. I'll attach some pictures of the piano and maybe someone can tell me how old it is. These instruments are so amazing to me, that's why I got it. It says Francis Bacon on the piano, and honestly it looks a bit creepy and old. I'm trying to find out more about this piano. I'm really into music and I've always wanted an actual piano, especially one with so much character. I was at the thrift shop a week or so ago and saw this really old looking piano for $50, so I bought it.
